San Diego, CA (PRWEB) April 25, 2012

EnvironmentalLights.com, a leading source for high-quality, energy-efficient LED lighting, recently launched a new series of color-changing LED strip lights. The RGB ColorPlus series is a brand new line of color-changing LED strip lights that combines a RGB LED chip plus an additional LED chip of warm white, daylight white or amber. Alternating on the flexible strip, this new LED strip can produce millions of colors easier than ever before ? expanding your color palette beyond most RGB LED strip. The fourth color gives you precise color control and higher color rendering, allowing you to create truer whites, purer yellows and softer pastels that are not over-saturated.

?We worked closely with the engineering teams to make sure we developed a premium product for our customers, and chose high-quality LEDs for maximum color vibrancy, longevity and flexibility,? said co-founder and president of EnvironmentalLights.com, Greg Thorson. ?Quality matters, and the materials, controllers, compatible accessories we provide make the difference for our customers.

Standard RGB LED strip light mixes red, green and blue colors together on a chip to create a color, including white. It can be difficult to mimic the color temperature of white you prefer with RGB color mixing. RGB ColorPlus adds warm white, daylight white or amber into the color mix, giving you the versatility to create the exact color you desire. It also gives you the ability to create bright pastels colors in addition to bold primary colors.

Increased Color Palette

A unique feature of the 5-wire RGBWW (warm white) and RGBDW (daylight white) strip light is that the white LED chip uses phosphor to create the range of color temperature, different from creating white by mixing red, green and blue on a chip. This creates a more natural white color to mix with the RGB colors on the strip, adding either a warm or cool tone ? great for mixing pastels. The RGBA(amber) strip light uses an amber LED chip ? great for mixing yellows and oranges.

?This is a fantastic product for TV studio and stage design, architectural features and decorative lighting in nightclubs and restaurants,? explained Bruce Bishop, operations manager for EnvironmentalLights.com. ?Having the extra LED chip gives lighting engineers and designers the flexibility to mix more colors, and also to illuminate just white if desired ? whereas with regular RGB strip lighting it would be a little more difficult to blend a true white.?

New York, NY (PRWEB) April 24, 2012

Timothy Stevens, CEO of Filmbuffet recently had the opportunity to interview Kang Je-kyu, one of South Korea?s most prominent and respected film directors.

Kang Je-kyu has made a handful of feature films in Korea and is one of Korea?s most admired filmmakers. His work includes ?Shiri,? a movie originally released in 1999 and the first Hollywood style action film produced in Korea. This film shattered the admission sales record ?Titanic? had in Korea. Five years later, he released ?Tae Guk Gi: Brotherhood of War,? which earned him the Best Director and Best Picture Awards at the Asia Pacific Film Festival. To date, ?Tae Guk Gi? remains the third most successful film in Korean history.

His latest project ?My Way? follows two young marathon runners, one Korean and the other Japanese, who are bitter rivals. As fate should have it, the two of them find themselves fighting in the Japanese army together in World War II. During the war, they are both taken as prisoners by the Soviets and eventually forced to fight for the Soviets and eventually the Nazis.

With production costs of $ 28 million, ?My Way? is the largest film ever done in Korea and the first Korean film to address the subject of World War II. In an in-depth interview with CEO of Filmbuffet, Timothy Stevens, Kang Je-kyu reveals one of the underlying themes of the film, the ongoing riff between Korean and Japanese cultures. Kang states the movie has rekindled some of the cultural differences as well as brought the issue to light for younger generations. The full interview with legendary Korean director, Kang Je-kyu is available here.

Beyond the Filmbuffet blog featuring in-depth interviews with some of the most influential people in film, Filmbuffet also serves as an online movie community where film fanatics can share their unique taste in film. The movie collection feature allows movie fans to keep track of the movies that have shaped their love of film and provides a visual representation of all the movies enjoyed in a lifetime.

Tucson, Arizona (PRWEB) April 24, 2012

The Tucson Autism Community Center (TACC) is hosting the 2012 Autism Charity Golf Classic at the Tubac Golf Resort and Spa on Saturday, May 5, 2012. Proceeds will benefit Tucson Alliance for Autism, (TAFA).

This year Rodney Peete, NFL quarterback and author, will be back for his second year in a row with his son R.J. ?I was very excited to be a part of the TACC Golf Tournament last year and was impressed with the hospitality I received at the Tubac Golf Resort & Spa,? Peete said. ?TAFA is doing incredible work and I have vowed to return whenever I?m available.? Peete, a native of Tucson, is the author of ?Not My Boy! A Father, a Son, and One Family?s Journey with Autism.? The story, based on the Peete family?s experience raising a child with autism, is receiving wide acclaim. Through the book Peete describes the journey from a father?s perspective ? a perspective that is often overlooked.

Another father/son team competing this year is Randy Blunt and his son Tyler. ?Last year?s event was an amazing two days for me and my son, Tyler,? Blunt said. ?We took the third place trophy. His presence at the tournament last year was an inspiration to everyone, especially me.” So when Blunt saw the chance to win private lessons with short game legend Dave Pelz by entering the ?What?s Your Major? contest sponsored by Golf Magazine he knew the Autism Charity Classic would be the perfect major to share his compelling story. Blunt submitted his essay describing why the Autism Charity Classic met so much to him and his son. Hundreds of essays were received, Blunt won! His prize included a set of Callaway golf clubs, a backyard putting green from SYNLawn Golf and private lessons from short game legend Dave Pelz at the Tubac Golf Resort & Spa. This was a big win for Blunt, for Tyler, and for Autism. ?Tyler will be my ?caddy? for many years to come. We?re going after the top prize this year,? Blunt said.

Ron and Angela Canale, co-founders of both the TACC and TAFA, have a beautiful 14 year old daughter who was diagnosed with autism at the age of 3-1/2. They helped create TACC and TAFA as a result of the many challenges they faced when trying to obtain information about services available in the Tucson community for those affected by autism.

Ron, a TACC board member, organizes the Autism Charity Classic Golf Tournament every year. ?The goal of this tournament is to raise money to help families and children who are affected by autism,? Canale said. ?Just as important is to raise awareness. That is why we get so excited when people like Rodney Peete, Dave Pelz and Randy Blunt get involved, because they help bring attention about autism to the forefront.”

The CDC estimates that 1 in 88 children have been identified with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and that ASD?s are almost 5 times more common among boys (1 in 54) than among girls (1-252). Autism can be difficult to detect and diagnose. Research shows that the earlier a child is identified, the more interventions such as speech therapy and behavioral training are likely to help.

The Autism Charity Classic Golf Tournament is held every year at the Tubac Golf Resort and Spa, known for its friendly hospitality, luxurious Hacienda style and 27-hole championship golf course made famous by the movie Tin Cup. The Tin Cup Hole, #4 Rancho, remains one of the most famous in golf. The resort is located just 35 minutes outside of Tucson, Arizona at 65 Avenida de Otero, Tubac, AZ 85646. For more information about the resort, visit http://www.TubacGolfResort.com or call 800.848.7893.

(PRWEB) April 24, 2012

?This year?s Abraham Krasnoff Courage and Commitment Award honorees exemplify the lasting impact of extraordinary individuals who have devoted their lives to promoting racial equity by addressing institutional and structural racism,? says Elaine Gross, President of ERASE Racism, adding, ?Our Corporate Leadership Award honoree proves that corporations can play a critical role in increasing racial equity. I couldn?t think of three honorees more worthy of launching ERASE Racism?s second decade of eliminating racial disparities on Long Island.?

Among its many achievements over the past 10 years, ERASE Racism?s most recent accomplishments include the release of its documentary A TALE OF TWO SCHOOLS: Race and Education on Long Island and a new housing survey report that dispels myths about the causes of segregation, Housing and Neighborhood Preferences of African Americans on Long Island.

ERASE Racism’s 2012 Benefit Celebration will take place Tuesday, June 12th at the Garden City Hotel, where more than 300 supporters will gather to celebrate the past and build for the future. The Abraham Krasnoff Courage and Commitment Award will be presented to Dr. Roscoe C. Brown, pioneer for racial equity as a Tuskegee Airman and as a renowned educator, and to Ms. Joan R. Saltzman, inspiring leader and community activist for equal access and expanded services. ERASE Racism will also present its Corporate Leadership Award to North Shore-LIJ Health System, a visionary leader for equity and excellence in healthcare. The award will be accepted by Jennifer Mieres, M.D., Senior Vice President, Office of Community and Public Health.

The Tuskegee Airmen are often credited with being pioneers of the civil rights movement. Their heroism led to the integration of the armed forces and opened many doors to black Americans. Dr. Roscoe Brown joined the elite African-American pilots, often referred to as the ?Red Tail Angels?, in 1943. He received the Distinguished Flying Cross with eight Oak Clusters and, more recently, the Congressional Gold Medal. Dr. Brown is one of the airmen whose experiences are featured in the current movie, Red Tails. ERASE Racism will honor Dr. Brown for his historic role as a Tuskegee Airmen and for his life-time commitment to racial justice. He has been an eminent professor of education and academic leader; a widely-respected member of dozens of New York City, state and national boards, including Boys and Girls Clubs of America and the American Council on Education; the author of numerous articles and guides on education and other topics; originator, host and guest on many television programs, such as ?African-American Legends? on CUNY-TV; and the recipient of various honors for his significant scholarly and community contributions, including the Congressional Award for Service to the African-American Community, BET Honors and Who?s Who in America.

Ms. Joan Saltzman is the embodiment of inspiring leadership, civic responsibility and generous philanthropy. Her work is best known on Long Island, but her influence has extended to the state level. As an advocate and activist, she has shown rare courage and commitment in working to protect Long Island?s and New York State?s most vulnerable residents, combating discriminatory policies and practices, and strengthening and expanding health and human services. Ms. Saltzman has served as a member of key state and local policy and planning bodies. She was a cofounder of the Long Island Community Foundation, North Shore Child & Family Guidance and the Long Island Fund for Women & Girls (recently renamed the Long Island Fund for Women), and she was the founding president of Community Advocates, a non-profit organization that has been a major catalyst for social and racial justice, affordable housing and housing for homeless individuals and families. ERASE Racism will honor Ms. Saltzman for her life-time commitment to social justice and to helping people in need.

Brooklyn, NY (PRWEB) April 23, 2012

Cmple.com – the new redesigned website with user friendly interface that offers a plethora of products to meet one?s home entertainment needs. The site?s impressive variety and quality makes it the place to go for electronic accessories such as HDMI cables and other cords. With the increasing popularity and new innovations in entertainment technology, Cmple allows its customers to thoroughly enjoy their high-tech gadgets like high-definition televisions and game consoles.

The origin of the company was certainly a humble one. It truly is a success story. Cmple started out with two people, $ 2000, a basement, and big dreams of providing people what they need. They knew that the current innovations in technology would lead an increasing number of devices to require advanced equipment to maximize on video and audio clarity. They realized then that HDMI cables and the like would be faced with an exponentially growing demand. It was then that the two knew what they wanted to sell, and with this, a company arose.

In a short period of time, their ideas grew bigger and bigger. In 2009, they moved from the basement to a 15,000 square foot warehouse and abandoned their obsolete distribution techniques by computerizing and automating their purchasing process. Due to these improvements, the efficiency and accuracy of the company?s orders increased, causing higher customer satisfaction.

Their techniques clearly worked, as the specific demand for HDMI cables and accessories grew, and grew fast. They were able to provide their customers the best products and the lowest prices with the most reliable purchasing procedure.

The time came once more to expand the business further. In 2011, Cmple was able to open a second warehouse, which allowed them to keep a significantly larger inventory. This second expansion allowed for a larger inventory and a far better selection of products available for purchasing. They were then able to serve any and all HDMI cable and home theater accessory needs.

Yet Cmple isn?t just about the products ? another one of the company?s main focuses is the service that comes along with the purchase. It isn?t unusual for the average person to have problems setting up their electronics. Considering the different cords and slot and what not, it can somebody be difficult for someone to fidget around to get everything in the right place. A major benefit of purchasing from Cmple is that they have a Support Team that is always available during business hours to help their customers with any problem that may come up during the use of one of their products. They stress the importance of making sure that their customers can truly enjoy their products.

The reliability of the products at Cmple.com is certainly a plus. Most of the items available come with a lifetime warranty. Along with the warranty, they also promise that they will send you your product as fast as possible. Cmple has a close relationship with UPS and USPS that allows their packages to safely be shipped around the country and throughout the world at lightning-fast speed. They promise same-day shipping on all order made before 3 in the afternoon. When they ship a product, they provide and accurate calculation as to when it will arrive at its intended destination, which can save people the money and worries that comes with internet shopping.

With the country in a current economic recession, many companies have serious trouble keeping the cost of their products under control. They raise prices and lower quality in order to maximize on profits. However, at Cmple.com, these business tactics are certainly not the common practice. A nearly unique feature of business at Cmple is its close relationship directly with manufacturers. This relationship allows it to sell high-quality products at the most affordable prices. However, the benefit of their relationship is twofold. Cmple helps the manufacturers develop innovative products, as well as make suggestions for making the installation of their products more user-friendly.

Cmple.com is already establishing itself as a stronghold when it comes to variety of products. Whether a client is looking for an SVGA or an HDMI cable; a Firewire or a USB cord; a Network Cat 5 or Cat 6 wire ? they can be found in one place: Cmple.com. They also offer a selection of fire alarm cables, standard video and audio cables, wall plates, and computer cables (USB and monitor cables). Any accessory that a person can need can conveniently be found in one place. If somebody needs a HDMI cable for a brand new Playstation

Nearly three years before Steve Harvey’s book, “Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man”, and the newly released movie, “Think Like a Man,” national bestselling author, Daniel Whyte III, wrote a chapter titled “How To Think Like a Man Yet Be All Woman”, from a biblical perspective, in his bestselling book titled “Letters to Young Black Women”, along with his wife of 25 years and his college age daughter. In the chapter, Whyte touches on some key things that will help women get along better with the men in their lives. Thousands of copies of “Letters to Young Black Women” have been sold and many young women’s lives have been changed.

Whyte says, “The women that men like to be around the most are those dear women who have the uncanny ability to think like a man, yet be all woman. These women have the special ability to appreciate a man as he is, without trying to change that man to be more like them. They can relish in a man’s world without feeling slighted or ignored.”

He goes on to briefly discuss the topics of respect, how men think and how women should express their feelings and emotions to a man.

The entire letter titled “How To Think Like a Man Yet Be All Woman” can be viewed at the following link: http://bit.ly/JAld85. Readers are encouraged to share it with their daughters, wives, sisters, and girlfriends. The e-book can be downloaded and read on iPhone, Android, iPad, BlackBerry and Windows Phone devices as well as PCs and Macs

Here is what other people are saying about “Letters to Young Black Women”:

“Next to the Bible, Letters to Young Black Women, is a must read for young women.”

 Dr. Barbara Fishburne, Columbia, SC

“I was looking for a Christian book to give to some young black teens that are lacking emotional support and guidance. This is the perfect book. I even bought one for my own (white)teen daughter. It’s a very easy read and full of practical and wise guidance. I recommend it for women (black or white) of all ages.”
Greensboro, NC (PRWEB) April 23, 2012

Want to help your kids dodge the summer blahs? Try UNCG?s All Arts, Sciences & Technology Camp. Four weeklong sessions are scheduled this summer across North Carolina and Virginia for children ages seven to 15.

?We offer a high-energy, fun-filled program that will get your kids off the sofa and into action,? says Matt Fisher, Camp curriculum director. ?The schedule blends highly interactive classes with recreation and entertainment so campers stay fully engaged.?

UNCG has a long and successful track record in summer programs for kids. Last year the University enrolled approximately 1,200 campers from seven states.

Each weeklong session is designed to make learning fun ? with classes that range from the science of super heroes to the magical world of Harry Potter. Kids have an opportunity to make movies, explore flight, solve crimes or become a t-shirt tycoon. Parents can even catch a sneak peak throughout the week by visiting the Camp Flickr site, where daily photos are posted.

Though a day-only option is available, most campers stay on campus for the week. They are supervised by a team of counselors and instructors ? including outstanding public and private school teachers, graduate students, and area artists and scientists. The Camp maintains a staff to camper ratio of approximately one to five.

Sessions are offered this summer at the following sites:
